Frame completed

It has been a week since we last went to see our block of land. What progress could have been done since then. Well, we now have something that look like a house: the frame is completed! Or almost... the balcony and porch are missing.

We went to see our site yesterday over lunch time, as we were going to meet with Alex Dekker, from Dekker Landscape. We showed him our landscape plan and discussed a few options. He is going to calculate a quote for implementing this plan, once the house is completed.

Funnily during the time we were waiting for Alex to arrive, there were two tradies on site... sleeping in the garage. Ah ah!

Today, Saturday, we went back to the house with the children. We walked around block to see the rear of the house (while the back neighbour's block is still vacant) and get some more photos.

Before that we went to Accent and DiLorenzo to try to find a replacement tile for the ensuite floor (the one we liked is discontinued). We went to Accent to borrow a sample of the carpet we placed an order from them. We couldn't find the right one! Apparently the code written on our order has one digit wrong (either the manufacturer has changed its number or it was incorrectly written). I am glad we see that now and can fix this problem before carpets are ordered!

Walking on the foot path, the completed frame is revealed
The "nose" of the house (balcony and porch) is missing. Windows have been delivered
Look who's sleeping in the garage
View from the back of our land. We hope to catch a nice view on the Blue Mountains from the our bedroom
