External Tap Fixed!

In my previous post I wrote about the external tap behind behind our garage. It was mistakenly been installed as a recycled water tap instead of potable water as specified in our contract. This has now been fixed. How did Metricon did that? Well, they ripped of a big chunk of the back wall of the garage, connected the tap the correct pipe and put new bricks in!

A part from that the electricians came to fit the lights and the air-conditioning system (interestingly the external compressor is yet to be installed). We met with the carpenters last week to tell them where to attached the bathroom accessories (toilet roll holders, towel rails, etc).

This week they put the balustrade in on the balcony and on the stairs coming out of the laundry.

How long to PCI? Who knows but it is expected to happens sometime this month...

The balustrade has been fitted. There is still some work to be done to finish off the front part of the balcony.
The laundry stairs are now dressed up with a balustrade (in the same colour as the gutter - Colorbond Jasper)
The garage external tap is now of the correct type. Correcting the mistake required ripping off a good section of the wall.
Our back neighbours have started construction.
Light fitting (temporary of course - we will replace these basic fitting with proper ones after handover)
 The ensuite has a bath.
The outdoor room with 1, 2, 3, ... ? but where is the fourth downlight (rear, left)? In the middle we will install a ceiling fan.
With the PCI approaching we keep an eye on "defects". Here is a brick that hasn't been cleaned properly.
That's not good: the sliding door in the ensuite has been chipped. Obviously a defect that will have to be fixed.
