Eaves lining

Despite the wet weather Metricon keeps working on the house. They have now installed the eaves lining and half the cladding areas have been wrapped in green plastic sheets. I wonder what these are for?

I saw some wet spot under the eaves, with which I am bit concerned. Does that mean the roof is leaking in those areas? I shall give a call to our SS on Monday to get to the bottom of this.
