Victory is approaching but not there yet. My town planner at the council emailed me that the DAU has approved our DA during yesterday meeting. This is great news!
But... we can't celebrate yet as councillors, until tomorrow, are allowed to cancel the decision requesting the matter to be assessed at a council meeting instead. If all goes well our development consent should be mailed to Metricon this Friday.
Are we going to be able to complete the admin phase before Christmas? Not sure. Assuming Metricon gets the approval on Monday I guess it might take them the week to prepare the final drawings. Then I am sure there will be some mistake to be corrected. When all is good they will have to get the private certifier to approve the plan and issue the construction certificate. That might take yet another week.
Hopefully my next post will announce confirmation of our DA approval...
