There is a kitchen!

This week the kitchen has been installed. Already! I wasn't expecting that. I went on site to have a look for myself and met the tiler at the same occasion. The tilers were very nice. It was good to meet them as a couple of things needed to be clarified. All our tiles were delivered except the feature tiles from Italy (for the ensuite). I gave them a printout of my 3D model showing how we want the large 960x320 feature tiles installed in the ensuite.

Here is the kitchen. Looking good.
The 3D model and the real stuff.
The powder room has been tiled. The washing basin will be semi-recessed
Next to the powder room is the laundry.
This is the under-stairs storage space. We were expecting all the space under the stairs will be available but only a section can be used. Still some extra storage is better than none.

I talked to our customer service consultant at Metricon asking her if we can have our skirting left un-installed (we do the flooring after handover). No luck with the head office: they stand to "it is not in the contract and cannot be changed at this stage", as our site supervisor did. Oh well, that's not a big issue anyway: the skirting can be detached and replaced after our bamboo floor is installed.

As for the extra plywood for wall mount TV, the head office confirmed that small thing (see below) is what the contract refers too and the cost was correct ($160). I can't believe what a rip off this is!

Yep, we got charged $160 for that plywood sheet to support a wall mounted TV. Unbelievable!
