Plastered!

After the frame stage inspection Metricon keep the pace going. Last week we had the painter working on the cladding. The plaster walls that were delivered earlier have been all used and installed. I only had a peek inside the ground floor but what a difference it makes to have internal walls!

We are very happy with the 3 meters high ceiling in the back of the house (we have a step down due to the slope of our land). If feels very roomy. Also the North aspect makes the living area nice and bright.

Our Site Supervisor called to clarify an inconsistency between the variation and the drawing with regards to our two shaving cabinets (ensuite and bathroom). It is supposed to be a recessed mirror cabinet. That's what is shown on the drawing but the variation says "wall-mounted". Our SS will have them recessed unless this is not possible (depending on how the carpenter put the studs.

  2. We actually are already at lock-up... at least financially (paid the invoice a week ago). In fact we will soon be at fixing stage as they only have to complete all the doors to send us the invoice!
