Visualising the interior

While we are waiting to see the real house I have added some features to my 3D model made with Google Sketchup. I found another software called Kerkythea, which can produce photo-realistic rendering of the model. Without fiddling too much with the zillions of settings the results are still very impressive:
The bathroom vanity. We moved the vanity outside the main bathroom, where a linen cupboard was in the standard Laguna floor plan.

The Ensuite, with door-less shower screen. This ensuite is big and we feel the space is under-utilised. We are tossing the idea of adding a bath but that would require losing the built-in robe which form part of the wall opposite to the vanity. This may not be possible too, as our CSC at Metricon told us they normally don't allow structural changes at this stage.

The feature niche leading the entrance to the bathroom/toilet area. This is another of our personal touch to the house design. It is also the change which causes most trouble as it is the third time Metricon got it wrong on the drawings. This time I have send them this image, which should hopefully clarify what we are asking!

The kitchen's general layout. This view of the 3D model helped us picking up a design change that would not have looked good. Metricon had indeed extended the standard bulkhead over the hallway passage from 300mm to 816mm because our floor is sunken by 516mm (were the steps are). This would have been way too low!
