It starts with a block of land

Before we can build a house we of course need a block of land. We purchased ours in Beaumont Rise in November 2009. Our lot registered in April 2010 and soon after we were officially owner of our little piece of Australia!

What's the first step to build a house? Following the Japanese tradition "o-kiyome" we first went to the land offering some sake and purifying the land with salt. This supposedly make the "spirit" of the land happy and should bring good luck to our house.
